Support Us

Generous donations from individual members, donors, as well as corporate, foundation, and government partners help meet fundamental needs, from exhibition and educational programming. Operational funding for Eldon House is provided by the city of London to Museum London, which is contracted to operate, maintain and preserve Eldon House. Additional support, through donations and grants, allows Museum London to offer more Eldon House programming and other services.

“With your support we are able to build on our programs and services that guarantee knowledge and enjoyment of the history of this region,” says Executive Director Brian Meehan. “Each gift or sponsorship allows us to reach more and more members of our community and bring history alive for them.”

Individual gifts can be made to the Annual Fund at Museum London. Donors will receive a charitable tax receipt for the full donation, and in accordance with the Canada Revenue Agency polices, Museum London cannot provide any “benefit” of value associated with the gift.

Museum London does seek to acknowledge and appreciate its generous donors, however, and ensures timely notice of ongoing exhibitions, programs and special events; recognizes donors in our Annual Report; and promises to engage with donors in a regular manner.

A Tribute or Memorial Gift is a meaningful way to recognize or remember friends, family and special occasions while supporting an important cultural institution and one of the region’s greatest treasures.

Help Sustain Eldon House for Future Generations

We all have the opportunity to make a difference in the community that our children and grandchildren will inherit. Legacy gifts, or planned gifts, can help you accomplish your financial goals and at the same time leave a powerful legacy. Through your bequest or other planned gift, you can ensure that Eldon House will continue to inspire visitors of all ages for generations to come. Special programming for planned givers ensures recognition in the current year.

You can leave a legacy for those who follow in several ways, including:

* Making a bequest in your will for a specific sum or a portion of your estate
* Considering a bequest of assets, for example stocks, bonds, mutual funds, or real estate
* Naming Eldon House as a beneficiary of your RRSP, RRIF or pension, or life insurance policy
