Visit Us

When you walk in the front gate of Eldon House, you are walking into another time.

As you enter through the front doors, you will be welcomed by Eldon House staff who will answer your questions and assist in making your visit as convenient and comfortable as possible.

Accessibility
The main floor of Eldon House, as well as the Interpretive Centre and its restrooms, are wheelchair accessible.

Coat Check Room
There is no formal coat check room at Eldon House, and you’ll be asked to keep your overcoats with you. For security reasons, you will be asked to leave large bags, umbrellas, backpacks, including baby backpacks, tripods, and any package over 13" x 17", including large purses and diaper bags and/or any other bulky, awkward items on the veranda during good weather, or in the hall way or hall closet.

Lost and Found
If you lose an item during your visit, please inquire with the Historical Interpreter. If you realize you've lost an item at Eldon House after your visit, please call 519.661.0333 to inquire. Items are kept for a maximum of 30 days (though valuable items may be held longer). We attempt to locate the owner of items but unclaimed items are purged after a month and donated to a registered charity.

Photography
Photography is permitted in Eldon House, however professional photography or any media photography is not allowed unless approved by Eldon House.
